Hi people.
I don’t know if everybody has heard about it, but the Chernobyl Powerplant was attacked this february (2025) by a suicide drone from Russia (probably, authorities say). If you didn’t notice, we are already in may, and there didn’t seem (at least for me) any kind of news whatsoever about this situation before.
This got me worried. I mean, the current situation of the world in which we live in, war in Ukraine still raging, Palestine and Israel conflict, the Proxy Trade Wars, and then there’s Lady Gaga doing a show for free in Rio’s Copacabana beach to break the streak.
But this got me thinking, if we eventually die (which will happen), the world will remain in there, and such nuclear nuisances wouldn’t really be a problem. I mean, there are certain starts in the universe way more radioactive, and that doesn’t seem to raise any concerns (not at least that we know of), because (we believe) there’s no life there trying to survive whatsoever.
So then, here on this earth we do get stressed and worried (or some of us do), about the current situation, and more and more I am finding myself in this situation: “Is there anything else for us to do? Can something really be done about anything?”.
I mean, all people, if not most, are continually living their lives, until horror streaks in some case, unseen. At each second new people are losing their lives, as well as some other are being born, but born to what conditions if things continue to escalate on such levels?
And even more, what really is our prospect and responsibility in all of this, given the current scenario? Billionaires spending money looking to buy other corporations or even maintain their assets, when all that will be left afterwards is even less than skull and bone, and which other endeavours could have been granted with such skill and aids given the current world situation?
Truth is: I don’t know, but hell, we do at least need to consider about stuff, no?! Because if we stop, if we just cease doing it, are we just going with the flow of events? And where does that leave us?
Then, at least, it leaves us wondering, and uneasy, at most, it might cost our future, somewhat. But then, let’s hope not.
