Glamourization of Work

I’ll make this a short one.

Mostly because the matter at hand is pretty straightforward. But, it seems like we are trying to glamourize through a certain cadence of perspectives, the dreadful reality which work involves.

I mean, the bunch of posts we have on a certain platform exalting work and the workplace and whatmore, especially inside IT departments, is just astounding, as if working in this day and age would be one of the best things for your life. To a certain extent, it is, due to our need of paying for our groceries and the things we buy, buy beyond that…

Do people who tend to glamorize the workforce and the workplace for the HR department consider of those not-so-glamorous jobs, such as the cashier in a small market in the midst of a small town? Going on, day in and day out, with the same dull monotony, or maybe those other people responsible for paper-work, filling forms and whatever, performing the duties of society for the greater good of corporations?

It seems like some people want their jobs to become kind of a circus, where interactions are always entertaining and providing meaning and lessons for oneself, whereas it is just what it is. A duty, and a social arrangement. On the other hand, maybe, with a just ‘hello’ or maybe a smile from a bystander we can gather a little force in us to keep on moving through and from or duly tasks.
