Apex of Our Lives

Maybe, considering now, as I am approacing 32 years of life in this earth, just maybe I have already reached the apex of my life without ever realizing it. Maybe structurally and health-wise I must have let it slip by on some other friday back in April of some long past year, when I was in my early 20s or so… I may never know.

As much as many of us never do, and we continue going on with out lives, reaching out to attendances as we are requested, birthday parties, social gatherings and the like, and then right when you look at it, maybe 10 years have passed by. And maybe those might have been the best years of your life that you’ll never ever be able to recollect again, albeit for a frail proportion of memories and fragments of sensitive intuition on what if must have felt like back in the day.

Don’t get me wrong (as I suppose that many of you don’t do), but, I am well aware that many of us people are only “economically fit” well over our 20s and maybe even 30s (even thought it is hard to say in harsh times that our global econimies are in and the prospect of evermore waging wars in this planet), but the economically feasible endeavours which we are set to take sometimes only become possible (if ever) well late into adulthood (supposing we have everything figured out by then).

And even then, as might be for most people and also my case, ideally, we have not yet figured it out, and maybe we’ll speend our entire lives trying to figure these things out, day-in and day-out, until then eventually you wre like, 60 or 70? Your body then just can’t take it much more, health-wise and physiologically aswell.

So, if I am lucky enough to live up to some 70 years, I could say that half my life has been spent already. With a good portion, the early years, not knowing very much what to do or how to do in this earth, and then now, when the peak of the 20s youth has past, now come the bills (or even before that), and some are raising families already, growing kids, and trying to make ends meet.

And maybe, just maybe… we have just let slip bay the peak of our lives, just unnoticed. Because, health will decline, conditions of living will sure become harsher, our friends will adrift as we will not have very much more companions (if we were lucky to have so), as the same to when we were in high school or sometimes even collece, when everyday you would meet those people and share those stories, for a couple of years maybe, and then just part ways. And sometimes, with a few of them we would still get together to have some contact (or not) but even then…

Times have past, and now somedays what we can do is reminisce, but also to look forward to the next day, as to what might be possible for us to become, just hoping, and coping that another more 10 years might pass by ourselves, we learn from them, and eventually, you know… fade away.
