Inconsistent People

Maybe the title is quite a flex, but it is actually based on a few experiences I’ve had previously.

You see, I work in a field, which happens to be IT, which can really benefit from a bunch of people which were self-taught, and me being one of them in this case. So, my main field of study previously to working with these current contraptions was different, and because of that I have to make do with the knowledge that I have gathered, and a much bunch of times, study even more because of the lack of my formal education in IT field in the first place.

Inheritances

As probably most of you don’t know, my father was a sysadmin. Actually, I just don’t know if I have recollected these events here before, but in any case, dad was a Database Admin (or DBA), and not so many time was I to find him working (or in my kid’s thoughts: doing “something”) on the computer with a black screen in front of him, and little scribbles which I could not fathom what they were (I learned literacy a little bit older, around 7 yo). So, you can guess my little self had the faintest idea of whatever the hell any of that meant.

Unglorious Evenings

For those of similar fate (which might also be attempting to keep themselves into the academic research path), maybe what I’m about to say might ring familiar, somehow?

Or even for anyone who’s struggled on a path to accomplish something that you can only see the results after a much longer period, but which burdens the need of daily activities, bit-by-bit, actively contributing to a whole mass of momentum dealt and struck into a single moment (albeit, in some presentation of sorts or some test, who knows), you just gotta stick to it, but then, that’s the hardest part.

Non Tech People

I was just considering upon this, along the lines of: “Are non-tech people, just morbidly and tirelessly self-negating themselves?”

As in, are they just lazy after all, or defying their own cognitive capabilities? I mean, if you tale a look at the world, most of th adults can cook, can’t they? And cooking in particular involves following a series of instructions that, in the meanwhile might prove so much more dangerous than dealing with everyday tech in this world. For example, there are sharp blades (a.k.a. knives) which might kill oneself or gravely injury them, but still day after day, they use it with all naturality. Or dealing with fire and the serious burns one might inflict. Of course there might be disasters and accidents here and there, but on average, people can handle themselves and follow the recipes (and lots of recipes) pretty willingly.

All These Riches

I was just pondering about stuff, too late into the night, just right before avoiding myself of making a totally dubious and unecessary expensive payout for internet things, whilst having wasted alread too much money on a flash sale in Switch Sales this evening, then it hit me:

What would be it all for, all these riches that we’d like to accumulate over, for what?

Whereas, in the end all it’s gonna do it be left behind when one fades into a next existence.

Silent Battles

Oh, you… The one who’s had to be working late, been having some restless sleep, nudging hellish and cryptic trains of thought.

Silent Battles have been raging on.

Battles very few people ought to see, any many of them ought to even know they ever happened. Into the lines of one terminal, server down, the DR kicks in, HA spuns up, and an alarmed state gets triggered.

Everything’s rigged against the odds, timelines exceed and you ought to make it right or at least, to know what’s gone wrong, in the first place, afterall. Not much has been surmized so far, but something must be done, boss’ shouting and everything’s gone to havoc, no one knew where the backup might have went.
