Earliest Memories

I welcome you aboard to one of my earliest memories… (in case you haven’t just read the title, duh) - but in any case, it was probably back in March 1998 or maybe 1999? I am not really sure… It is truly before that 2000’s, for sure.

I am accompanying my dad, and I guess my mother too, into an english school, because my father was supposed to take an assessment to see which level he would be so then he could start his classes.

Those wishes for things that never Happened (and never will)

You’ve probably had that too, as much as I did, I guess… those days in which you would indulge in fantasies that no one never will even fathom about.

Those times where you did masturbate mentally to some other person you were attracted to sexually, but would never ever get to have a change to indeed accomplish such wild wishes with her, or him. But even so, you indulged in said self-satisfactory pleasures, just for the sake of it.

Speed is nothing without Control

Hi, it’s me again. Long time no see.

If you haven’t guessed already, today we are talking about, you guessed it, AI. Maybe you can already guess where I am going by just that word. If you want, you can close the post right now.

All yours, as you are still in here, I believe you wanna more proper information on what the heck am I actually talking about. Isn’t it obvious? All of our people, the developer guys, and the shareholders, managers and the like, ALL of it, all just wanting fast shipping of features, no matter how.

Pursuit of Knowledge and Migraines

Funny thing is, I didn’t know that the conditions that I had were migraines, until I pursuited the knowledge in the midst of a crisis. More people did, as I saw, in the YT comment sections of a few videos that I had searched on the topic.

One comment stated:

Hey, who else is searching for information while in the midst of a migraine crisis?

Funny, though, I thought I was the only one. Guess I wasn’t, then. So, it is true, more people were indeed looking for info, and only then when I heard of the doctor telling the telltale signs of what composes a migraine and what could be its triggers I thought “holy sh*t, I fit most of it”. So then, by a sheer struck of youtube search, I discovered that actually what I had from time to time wasn’t just only a minor headache, but actually a full blown throbbing migraine, to the point of ad nauseaum.

Days Are Better When I Dont Watch Youtube

Yeah I know there’s a typo in the title, can we just ignore that for now? Thanks.

So, as I was saying, which you probably haven’t heard yet, my days are better when I don’t watch youtube, and I’ll tell you why. You’ve probably heard that them (YT) together with Meta are getting liable for making us sick and addicted to social media in general. Besides that, I’ve just binge-watched some +40 mins of Youtube from topics ranging into Liberated SystemD, the latest axios hack through npm, Prime’s recalling of a 2014 video of preditions that JS would be dead, and another video telling how countries are ditching Visa and Mastercard.

Trouble in Generalist Town

or: the hidden costs of trying to excel in being a generalist.

See, not long ago, just a few decades, those of us that could succeed in the market, were required to do one thing, and one thing well. That’s probably where the saying of: “You had only ONE JOB!” came from. Well, that’s my assumption anyways.

People were recognized by being specialists, they did their stuff well, got evermore keen and precise into the duties they were performing, and that was okay for a living. Well, not we kinda have it backwards, or even sidewards I guess, where it is expected of us (in the IT field) to be masters of all sorts of crafts.
